So I’ve touched a lot on Shamanism so now I’m going to start in a bout a little bit of witchcraft. The Craft side of things I’ve been practising for almost twenty years now, I began when I was fifteen my obsession was with herbs and spells but mostly herbs and i became quite knowledgeable in the use both for healing and for spell work. It was a few years before i began to really blend my practices but that is for another post.
What is witchcraft? It is the use of ritual to preform a magical working which involves candles and intense and other tool. It involves the raising of energy to put in to a desired result. Such as getting a better job, getting the loan for that car that you were wanting, or that house you wanted to buy. That of course does not mean that you do the spell and you suddenly have the thing. What it means is that you raised the energy to put it out into the universe that you want the thing, then the universe will try and give you the thing. Sometimes it’s not exactly what you were asking for but it will be close.
So again what is witchcraft? It is the use of energy, herbs candles and rituals to place a request to the universe for healing, for housing, for money.
Now I do have to say that this is not to be confused as Wicca, Wicca is a spiritual practise based on nature where the “Wiccan” is following a path where nature is as deity and is a path of worship. Not all Wiccans are witches and not all witches are Wiccan.
For me witchcraft is a means of practising my shamanism deeper, for me it helps me to heal and to help it turns certain healing sessions into intense ritual to help the client. For the most part this has helped me to connect to the powers that be, the divine or the universe in other ways than just through shamanism. It has given me options when it’s come to healing as it helps the other person become involved in there own healing.
For many the term witchcraft has been associated with devil worship and satanism honestly that couldn’t be further from the truth of what witchcraft and paganism is about the craft of witches is a practise of healing.
How do you go about healing yourself?
